Patch test
At amerin (BEAUTY & WELLNESS COUNTER S.R.L.) and across all our brands, your skin's safety is a priority. All our products are tested and formulated with high-purity ingredients. However, every skin is unique, and skin reactions are individual. For this reason, tolerance cannot be guaranteed for everyone.
Even active ingredients considered gentle or hypoallergenic may cause unexpected reactions in people with particularly sensitive skin, pre-existing dermatological conditions or specific immune reactivity.
Preliminary tolerance test
We recommend following the specific instructions for each product and, where appropriate, carrying out a preliminary skin tolerance test. This test cannot guarantee that no reaction will occur later. If an undesirable reaction occurs, stop using the product and seek advice from a medical professional. This recommendation does not limit the consumer's legal rights or the liability of the manufacturer or seller provided by law.
The test is a recommendation, not a condition for exercising your consumer rights or for the legal guarantee. How to test depends on the type of product:
- Leave-on products (creams, serums, lotions, oils): apply a small amount to a limited area, for example the inner forearm or behind the ear, and watch how your skin reacts over the next 24–48 hours.
- Rinse-off products (cleansing gels or foams, rinse-off masks): apply the product to a small area, leave it on for no longer than the time shown on the packaging, then rinse and watch how your skin reacts. Do not leave a rinse-off product on the skin for longer than the instructions say.
- Products with exfoliating acids or retinoids: follow the instructions on the packaging closely, including how often to use the product. Introduce it gradually, do not apply it to irritated or broken skin, and use sun protection during the day. A slight tingling may be normal with these products; persistent redness, burning or swelling is not.
If redness, itching, a burning sensation or swelling occurs, rinse the area with water and stop using the product.
